As you enter the spacious Sivananda block in the morning, you see a flurry of activities by house mothers attending to the children's essential needs before sending them to the school in the campus. Children's food is prepared in the Kitchen in this building, cooking gas being made available from the gober gas plant adjacent to the building, gober made available from our cattle. |

The Foundation stone was laid on 24-06-1992 by Mr. R. Velu I.A.S. District Collector, Tirunelveli. The building was inaugurated by Mr. C. Subramaniam First Patron-In-Chief on 24-07-1993. |

| 2. Caliper making unit: |
Named after Dr.Gerhard Fischer, the benefactor, the unit has all facilities for making calipers, crutches, special shoes, etc which was Inaugurated on 25-01-1996 in the presence of Dr. Gerhard Fischer and Padmasri Alfred Wourfel |

| 3. Administrative Office: |
Satyasai Block was inaugurated on 26-12-1995 by Air marshal Amarjit Singh Chahal, the mentor of Mr. Ramakrishnan. After whom the Sangam is named.
Headed by Office Manager, important administrative functions namely, salary preparation, day-to-day accounts, data entry, Management Information System, Public Relations, correspondence, project etc. are conducted.

| 4. Disabled Volunteers Quaters: |
The main reception hall of the institution is located in this building where all visitors are first taken to and from there to various facilities established in the campus Also two EC members ,and a few emergency staff residence, offices of Secretary and Joint Secretary, Data Base Management Section, Business Processing Outsource section are functioning in this building The unique character of the institution is that the disabled can have free access to all the facilities with the help of the ramps breaking the architectural barrier. |

| 5. Spastic Centre: |
Housed in the Mahatma Gandhi block, the centre is meant to train MR and CP children to learn to help themselves.

| 6. Mahatma Gandhi Block : |
Foundation stone was laid by Ms. Indra Kumari, Social Welfare Minister Govt, of Tamil Nadu on 30-06-1994. Inaugurated on 26-07-1998 by Justice Ms. M. Fathima Beevi, H.E. Governor of Tamilnadu This is a multi-purpose hall used for accommodating the residential boys at night, as also for lady female disabled youth trainees, besides serving as a meeting hall also. |

| 7. Medical Testing Unit: |
This project is fully funded by Government of Japan. The Foundation stone was laid by Dr. A. Ganesan, Dean, Tirunelveli Medical College and Hospital on 20-03-1997, Inaugurated on 19-03-1998 by Sri. S. Sankara Raman, Secretary, ASSA. Well qualified physiotherapists attend to the needs of patients seeking physiotherapy with modern equipments. Frequent camps are conducted for various disabilities with the help of qualified Doctors. |

| 8. Hostel for Disabled Trainees: |
This project is fully funded by Government of Japan. The Foundation stone was laid by Mr. G.V.G. Krishnamurthy, Election Commissioner, Government of India, New Delhi on 12-03-1997, and Inaugurated on 19-03-1998 by Mr. A.K. Venkata subramanian, I.A.S Officer on Spl. Duty to Chief Minister T.N. It is a post-acute care centre catering to disabled youth-boys. |

The centre aims at rehabilitating the disabled in different disciplines to suit their physical ability. For the purpose various Vocational Training Centers are the media. While the Vocational Centers help us train them in their chosen fields, the Medical Testing Unit affords them opportunities to help them keep fit for attending to their daily routine. The present trainees numbering about 20 are engaged in various vocational trades currently available in the campus. |

| 9. Guest House : |
Foundation laid on 21-03-1999 and inaugurated on 15-11-1999.
Since we have a number of donors drawn from different walks of life and since they show keen interest by visits to our institution, one of the donors has graciously built the guest house which we use for accommodating VIPs and well wishers. It has four rooms with attached kitchen and with modern facilities

| 10. IGNOU Centre |
IGNOU has esstabilished a Special Study Centre to impart distance education in Computer and in respect of subjects relating to nuitrition, child care, rural development and other related fields. It is called a Special Study Centre because of its very nature of serving the cause of women, the disabled and the socially backward class. |

| 11. Computer Centre : |
Since information technology has been gaining momentum, the centre has been established not only to make the local people IT savvy but also to help deserving population to go in for advanced education in IT.

| 12. Type Writing Institute : |
Here again, this vocation helps our disabled adult trainees as also the local people to learn the trade for getting employment. Coaching is given both in Tamil and English typewriting Funded by IDBI. Both our computer and typing centers have received Government recognition. |

| 13. Note book making & binding section : |
This is another vocational diversion for our youth in-house disabled men and women to learn something which would stand them in good stead. We have been getting fairly good patronage both from the Government and private sectors. This section also generates income and employment opportunities.

| 14. Tailoring & Handicraft section : |

| 15. Spirulina algea cultivation: |
Spirulina is a natural vegetarian food containing a 65 % of protein to help the human system develop sufficient resistance to various ailments. It can also be considered a good substitute for rich food to contain obesity. Its protein content is almost double than that of soybean and yellow of an egg. Our plant capacity is to produce 600 kgs of solar dried Spirulina flakes per annum. We need marketing expertise. |

| 16. Fruit & Vegetable plantation : |
We have a kitchen garden yielding fresh vegetables and fruits. We also have Horticultural farm in a larger area. After meeting with the captive consumption, the surplus quantities are sold. |

| 17. Integrated School : |
This School has classes from 1st to 8th standards and the integrated strength is 450 students and 20 faculties. It is recognized by the State Government It is a self financed institution |

| 18. Nursery School : |
The Sangam owes its very existence to the Nursery School started in a thatched shed with a handful of tiny tots which marked the beginning of what was going to be a landmark in Ayikudy village. |
