Crafts Demonstration Awareness Program

Art Comes Alive at Siva Saraswathi Vidyalaya – Amar Seva Sangam We’re thrilled to share the vibrant highlights from our Art Demonstration & Awareness Programme, held from 16th to 18th July at Siva Saraswathi Vidyalaya School!

Day 1 – Inauguration (16th July)The event kicked off with a grand inauguration by Ms. Veena, Assistant Director, and Ms. Lissy Roy, LDC, on July 16th from the Handicrafts Service Centre. Joined by our Correspondent Ms. Pattammal, Headmistress Ms. Parvathi, CPO Ms. Subbulakshmi, and Office Manager Mr. Krishnan Pillai, the stage was set for three days of creativity and inspiration!

Day 2 – Art & Craft Awareness (17th July)Ms. Prajisha, Handicrafts Promotion Officer from Nagercoil, wowed us with an engaging session on traditional & modern art techniques. Students were encouraged to unleash their inner artists.

Day 3 – Design Demonstration (18th July)The spotlight was on Ms. Revathi, Designer from the Handicrafts Service Centre, who showcased dazzling Aari embroidery, quilling, and jewelry making. a Designer, July 18th. Her hands-on sessions were a big hit with our eager young learners.Craft Demonstrations: Master artisans amazed everyone with live demos of:

  • Embroidery
  • Fabric crafts
  • Clay pottery
Pathamadai mat weaving Students tried their hands at each – and loved it! Valedictory Celebration President, Secretary, Mrs. Ramani Sankararaman, staff, and students visited the stunning exhibition and applauded the talent on display. The Handicrafts Service Centre also honored the artisans for their incredible contributions.

Over 150 participants – including school students, Sangamam children & home children – joined with unmatched enthusiasm.
